METTC just successfully completed its first weekend seminar exclusively online in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The experience called for a new approach for presentations and a different way of supporting community among the cohorts.
Judging from comments from adult learners, the online seminar was well received:
“The fact that METTC did these online, remote lessons and seminar without much time for preparation due to the circumstances, was outstanding. They hit the road running, and the teachers got so much out of it!
“Honestly, given the circumstances, I think METTC nailed it!”
“Even though I would much rather be in Lexington, I learned a lot from these sessions.”
“You teachers have created awesome content in a tough medium to jump into.”
“The website was useful, q&a discussions during sessions were to the point and informative, staff were very supportive and made the seminar experience a happy one.”
“I loved it and will be recommending it to all interested in starting training.”
“Things to celebrate were the presenters’ hard work and polished presentations and a moving closing ceremony.” (see link below for a video of the Closing Ceremony)
Summer Training: Adapting to the new reality
Since we do our training at the Lexington (MA) Montessori School, our training schedule and formats will be dictated to a large extent by regulations of the State of Massachusetts. The governor's office is still formulating the plans for the summer. With uncertainty dominating plans for future months, METTC is prepared to offer all of its training programs this summer, with variations and adjustments depending on the circumstances. Be assured that if you intend to enroll in our training program this summer, you will receive the highest quality training we can offer under whatever circumstances exist at the time.
In the meantime....
