Intro to Montessori & 3-6 Overview

Our Intro & Overview course is offered as Montessori introduction to non-teaching or specialty staff and is required for those elementary teacher candidates without 3-6 credentials*

one week summer training at our on-site program OR/

an online course option is required for those seeking 9-12 stand alone certification and optional for those taking 6-9 or 6-12 to reduce on-site time by one week.

[involves eight weeks of online training including 1.5-hour weekly live sessions with the instructor streaming. Readings, videos, and interactive assignments will be attached to each live session to complete on your own. (see online learning requirements)]

Dates for 2024

Online* Course runs annually each Spring:
- Thursday night live sessions with Holly Stoehr from March28 — May 16, 2024 ; this year is full, but ask about our waitlist and/or consider applying for 2025
On-site Program runs June 24th - 28th, 2024 at the Lexington Montessori School, Lexington, Massachusetts

Tuition & Fees for 2024

(offered as Montessori introduction to non-teaching or specialty staff and required for those elementary teacher candidates without 3-6 credentials*; on-site and online course options cost the same)

Application fee (non-refundable): $50 (only required for those not taking full training program)
Tuition: $800 (due in full by the start of the online courses or by June 1st for the on-site course)
Discount: $50 (if paid in full 30 days before start of program)

Course tuition must be paid by check upon acceptance; we cannot accept credit card or online payments for these at this time. Full payments made at least 30 days before the start of the program will receive a discount (see website for tuitions, fees, and discount details). Registrations received after this deadline will not receive a discount.

POLICIES*

CANCELLATION BY APPLICANT: The applicant may cancel this contract and receive a full refund of all monies paid, including the application fee, if cancellation is emailed directly to admissions@mettc.org within five (5) business days, after the date of the signature on this application. REFUND POLICY: If an Adult Learner withdraws from the program one month prior to the program starting date, 100% paid tuition (less registration fee) will be refunded. After the start of the program, allowable refund percentages are computed from the date of official withdrawal, not from the time when the Adult Learner ceases attending classes. The Adult Learner is required to withdraw officially by submitting a written letter of intent to the admissions director. CANCELLATION OF PROGRAM: METTC reserves the right to cancel any program prior to its start date due to lack of enrollment. In the event of such cancellation, paid fees, deposits, and tuitions will be refunded. JOB PLACEMENT DISCLAIMER: METTC does not guarantee job placement to graduates upon program/course completion.
