Intro to Montessori & 3-6 Overview

Our Intro & Overview course is offered as Montessori introduction to non-teaching or specialty staff and is required for those elementary teacher candidates without 3-6 credentials*

  • IN-PERSON: one week summer training at our on-site program at Lexington Montessori School, MA. OR/

  • ONLINE: involves eight weeks of online training including 1.5-hour weekly live sessions with the instructor streaming. Readings, videos, and interactive assignments will be attached to each live session to complete on your own. (see online learning requirements)]

    • the online course option is required for those seeking 9-12 stand alone certification and optional for those taking 6-9 or 6-12 to reduce on-site time by one week.

Dates for 2026

  • Online* Course runs annually each Spring:

    • Thursday night live sessions with Martha Torrence from March 26 — May 14, 2026

  • On-site Program runs June 22nd - 26th, 2026 at the Lexington Montessori School, Lexington, Massachusetts

Tuition & Fees for 2026

(offered as Montessori introduction to non-teaching or specialty staff and required for those elementary teacher candidates without 3-6 credentials*; on-site and online course options cost the same)

  • Application fee (non-refundable): $50 (only required for those not taking full training program)

  • Tuition: $850 (due in full by the start of the online courses or by June 1st for the on-site course)

  • Discount: $50 (if paid in full 30 days before start of program)
