Elementary II (9-12) Certification Program (Stand Alone)

Train to teach in a Montessori Upper Elementary (9-12 year olds) classroom.

Program Details

— six weeks of in-person training with our experienced faculty over one summer, including two Saturday workshops, a six-week on-line Montessori Philosophy Into Practice course, and two additional weekend seminars, plus 3 on-site consultation visits, leading to Montessori certification through AMS as an Elementary II teacher

— Elementary II albums and materials, including large format charts for either the Timeline of Life or Five Kingdom Classification, as well as specially designed 9-12 part 1 albums covering the foundational lower elementary presentations with access to Elementary I digital materials

Please note: Our Elementary II (9-12 Stand Alone) Program was fully accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) in July of 2019, making it one of only four such accredited stand alone courses in the country at that time.

Dates

  • June 24th—August 2nd, 2024; September-October 2024 (virtual online dates to be announced), November 1st-3rd, 2024; and May 2nd-4th, 2025.

Tuition and Fees

  • Application fee (non-refundable): $150

  • Tuition*: $8,900 (due in full by June 1st)

  • Discount: $350 (if paid in full 30 days before start of program)

Elementary II (9-12 for holders of an AMS Elementary I credential)

Train to teach across the Montessori Elementary curriculum and prepare for an Upper El classroom.

Program Details

— three weeks of in-person summer training, including two Saturday workshops, and two additional weekend seminars, leading to Montessori certification through AMS as an Elementary I-II teacher (no consultation visits are required or included if practicum and E-I certified already)

— Elementary II albums and materials

  • July 15th—August 2nd, 2024; November 1st-3rd, 2024; and May 2nd-4th, 2025.

Tuition and Fees

  • Application fee (non-refundable): $150

  • Tuition: $5,600 (due in full by June 1st)

  • Discount: $225 (if paid in full 30 days before start of program)

  • Credentialing fees: $440

All tuition includes access to digital albums and digital materials designed for that level, instruction, mentoring, and consultation if listed. Additional required readings, supplies, as well as transportation, lodging, and meals are not included and are the responsibility of the adult learner.
